An introduction
Welcome! We are Dionne and Sander, the proud owners of Smederij Texel Bed & Breakfast since October 2020.
Running our own guesthouse is a dream come true for us. We virtually scoured town and country to find the right place, and it took a long journey through Europe to pin down our ultimate premises. We drove across Europe with our caravan to look at B&Bs, hotels and campsites to take over, but always found a reason not to do it.
It was by pure coincidence that we ended up temporarily in De Cocksdorp on Texel and heard that the ‘Smederij Texel’ B&B was up for sale.
Everything fell into place the moment we stepped inside – this is what we had looked for all this time!
Our greatest wish is to pamper our guests and introduce them to another side of Texel. Far from the beaten path. We will be happy to help you in discovering the hidden gems of this beautiful island. We will be doing this with excursions we put together ourselves (in the near future), along with tips and ideas to suit the way you holiday.
